With moisture damage, time matters. Bring your phone, tablet or MacBook to us as soon as you can: the sooner we examine and treat it, the better the chance of limiting further damage. We can clean the device professionally and check it for moisture, corrosion and other damage to parts such as the motherboard (PCB). Call us straight away for an appointment on 073 822 0013.
The standard water damage treatment costs €60 including VAT and fitting. Some devices, such as MacBooks and foldables, have a different rate, so just ask us. This covers the specialist labour, chemicals and equipment, and applies whether or not the device can be restored. The turnaround is 3 to 4 working days on average (weekends excluded).
Good to know about water damage
No device is completely waterproof. Even an official IP rating does not mean a smartphone can withstand every kind of moisture or liquid. Moisture damage is also not covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
Water damage? Don't switch it on, don't charge it and have it checked as soon as possible. That way you avoid causing unnecessary extra damage.

The main goal is always to get the device working so your important data can be secured. Keep in mind that a device with moisture damage may work only partly or temporarily; later faults can never be ruled out. That is why we give no warranty on water damage. So make a backup of your data as soon as you pick up your device!
But isn't my device waterproof?
The term "waterproof" can be misleading for smartphones. Many modern smartphones are designed to withstand some exposure to water, but that does not make them fully waterproof. The short answer: no, phones are water-resistant, not waterproof, and that is no guarantee against damage.
A few points to keep in mind:
- An IP rating is no free pass: a rating such as IP68 means a device was tested under ideal lab conditions (for example up to 1.5 metres deep for 30 minutes in still fresh water). Real life is very different.
- Not resistant to every liquid: the protection only applies to cold fresh water. Salt water, chlorinated water, soapy water, hot steam (bathroom or sauna) and chemicals attack the seals straight away.
- Only meant for accidents: the seal is an emergency measure for a drop in a puddle or a rain shower, not for taking photos under water or using the device in the shower.
- Wear reduces protection: drops, knocks, normal ageing of the rubber seals or earlier repairs gradually reduce water resistance. A one-year-old device is far less protected than a new one.
- No warranty on water damage: no manufacturer, and Phone Repairs neither, covers moisture damage under warranty, whatever the device's IP rating.
- Liquid Damage Indicator (LDI): this indicator inside your device changes colour when it gets wet, after which the manufacturer's warranty no longer applies.
What to do with moisture damage? Prevention remains the best advice: keep your smartphone away from liquids and steam as much as possible. Did your device get wet anyway? Switch it off right away, dry the outside well, don't charge it and contact us immediately. The sooner the liquid is removed professionally, the better the chance of a full recovery.
Apple, for example, states that the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are splash, water and dust resistant and rated IP68 under IEC standard 60529 (up to 30 minutes at a depth of 2 metres, tested under controlled conditions), that this resistance may decrease over time as a result of normal wear, that you should not try to charge a wet iPhone, and that liquid damage is not covered by the warranty.
Water damage can also cause motherboard faults; our motherboard repair rates then apply.
No warranty on water damage
Manufacturers, and we neither, never give a warranty on water or drop damage. A repairer can easily detect water damage, because all mobile devices contain indicators that change colour on contact with moisture.

Dikke vette okay!
Vandaag heb ik bij Phone Repairs het scherm van mijn iPhone 18 Pro laten vervangen door een origineel Apple servicepack-scherm. Na zo’n twintig bedrijven te hebben gebeld die het scherm allemaal niet op voorraad hadden, was het bij Phone Repairs gelukkig wél raak! Wat ik extra prettig vond, was dat ik de hele reparatie mocht meekijken. Die openheid gaf me veel vertrouwen. En de snelheid was indrukwekkend: in exact twintig minuten was de reparatie klaar! Heel fijn om na zoveel telefoontjes een bedrijf te vinden dat je direct kan helpen en waar je met een goed gevoel weer naar buiten loopt. Absoluut een aanrader!

Zelfs op zondag!
Wat een redding op de zondagochtend! Mijn telefoon laadde totaal niet meer op, dus ik ben binnengelopen bij Phone Repairs Den Bosch. Ik werd direct en uitstekend geholpen. Binnen 15 minuten was het probleem verholpen en stond ik met een perfect opladend toestel weer buiten. De service is niet alleen razendsnel, maar de kosten zijn ook nog eens heel schappelijk. Ik kan deze zaak aan iedereen honderd procent aanbevelen!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wat een geweldige service bij Phone Repairs! Waar andere bedrijven mij niet konden of niet wilden helpen met mijn Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, werd ik hier gewoon snel en goed geholpen. Fantastische service
Wat een fantastische service bij Phone Repair Den Bosch! Ik dacht dat de oplaadpoort van mijn telefoon vervangen moest worden en zag al op tegen een dure reparatie. Gelukkig was Martijn zo eerlijk om aan te geven dat schoonmaken voldoende was. Binnen drie minuten was het probleem opgelost en laadde mijn telefoon weer gewoon op!
