My phone has water damage. Can it still be repaired?

Often it can. If your smartphone got wet or damp and has water damage, switch it off right away (if it has not switched itself off already). This prevents further damage. Do not switch it on again and certainly do not charge it. Then call us straight away: 073 822 0013

Is mijn telefoon nog waterbestendig na een reparatie?

Na een reparatie kunnen wij de waterbestendigheid van je telefoon niet garanderen. Een telefoon is namelijk waterbestendig, maar niet volledig waterdicht. Door barsten in het scherm, deuken in het frame en slijtage van afdichtingen kan deze bescherming afnemen. Bij het vervangen van je telefoon vernieuwen wij indien nodig ook de schermlijm en afdichting. Hiermee sluiten we het toestel zorgvuldig aan op de behuizing. Dit biedt echter geen garantie dat de oorspronkelijke waterbestendigheid wordt hersteld. Daarom geven wij na een reparatie geen garantie op waterdichtheid. Ons advies: houd je telefoon uit de buurt van water en dompel het toestel niet onder, zeker nadat het beschadigd is geweest.

Yes. Phone Repairs works always by appointment, so there is enough time and attention for your repair. You make an appointment via WhatsApp, by phone or by e-mail.

When are you open?

Phone Repairs is open seven days a week, including evenings, Sundays and public holidays. On Sundays and public holidays the Sunday opening hours apply. Because we work by appointment, we arrange a time with you that suits you.

Will I lose my data during a repair?

Accepted Answer

No, the data on your device is kept during a repair at Phone Repairs, so you don't need to worry. Your messages, WhatsApp, photos, games and so on simply stay on your device and you can use it again straight away.

My iPhone suddenly does nothing. What can I do?

Accepted Answer

Do a forced restart (hard reset). Sometimes a software error makes an iPhone seem completely unresponsive. A hard reset forces the logic board to restart without data loss: – iPhone 8 and newer (including iPhones with Face ID): briefly press Volume Up, briefly press Volume Down, then hold the side button until the Apple logo appears. – iPhone 7 (Plus) and older: hold the Volume Down button and the power button at the same time until the Apple logo appears.
