How much warranty do you get?

Most repairs come with a 12-month warranty. Water damage and specialist motherboard repairs have other warranty terms.

Screen repairs – 12 months warranty

All screen repairs come with a 12-month warranty on the working of the screen we fitted.

This applies to screen repairs with:

• Original Service Pack
• Original pulled
• Premium OLED

The warranty period starts when the repaired device is handed over or shipped to you.

Other repairs – 12 months warranty

Other regular repairs come with a 12-month warranty on the working of the part we replaced, such as a charging port, camera, speaker, microphone or other part.

Battery warranty

A battery wears over time — that is normal.

That is why you get a 12-month warranty on batteries.

Warranty on screen protectors

You get a 2-week fitting warranty.

Did we fit your screen protector? If it turns out within two weeks that it isn't fitted properly, come back with the original screen protector — we'll fit a new one free of charge.

Motherboard repair and micro-soldering – 60 days warranty

A motherboard or micro-soldering repair comes with a 60-day warranty. This covers repairs to ICs, filters, FPC connectors and other components on the motherboard. The warranty only applies to the part or area of the motherboard that Phone Repairs repaired.

Pre-owned devices – 12 months warranty

Our pre-owned devices come with a 12-month warranty. They are fully tested and checked before they are sold.

Data recovery – no cure, no pay

Data recovery has no regular repair warranty. It is carried out on a no cure, no pay basis: if the data agreed beforehand cannot be recovered, you do not pay for the recovery.

Water damage – no warranty

We give no warranty on the examination, cleaning or repair of devices with moisture, water or other liquid damage. Moisture can cause corrosion and other damage in many places inside a device, so new faults can appear later, even after a successful cleaning or repair.

What does the warranty cover?

The warranty only covers the working of the part that Phone Repairs replaced or repaired during that repair. If we replaced a screen, for example, the warranty covers that screen. Other parts and functions of the device that were not replaced or repaired are not covered, including peripheral components: with a screen repair, the proximity sensor, Face ID, Touch ID, speakers and other parts that were not replaced fall outside the warranty on the new screen.

When does the warranty lapse?

The warranty is meant for a defect in the part we replaced or repaired. It does not cover damage to the device or part that occurs after the repair.

Among other things, the warranty lapses with:

• Drop, impact or pressure damage
• Cracks, breaks, tears and scratches
• Visible physical damage or damage caused by use
• Damage to LCD, OLED or AMOLED panels and digitizers
• Black spots, lines or other visible display damage caused by physical damage
• Moisture, water or liquid damage
• Heat damage, including adhesive layers coming loose due to external heat
• Hinges damaged or broken by physical strain
• Other visible damage that occurred after the repair

Such damage voids the warranty on the part concerned. Moisture, water, liquid or lightning damage also cannot be claimed under the repair warranty.

When does the warranty not apply?

We give no warranty for:

• Moisture damage, drop or impact damage
• Damage caused by others
• Normal wear such as scratches or OLED burn-in

These exceptions also apply

• Water damage repairs (including later motherboard repairs)
• Partial repairs (if specifically stated on the receipt)
• Cable problems in foldable devices (such as the Samsung Z series or laptops/MacBooks) — due to wear from frequent opening and closing

Having your device repaired at Phone Repairs may void your manufacturer's warranty. This depends, among other things, on the brand and the quality of the part.

No warranty on parts that were not repaired

The warranty does not apply to parts that Phone Repairs did not repair or replace during the original repair. Say we only replaced the screen and a few months later a problem appears with Face ID, Touch ID, the proximity sensor, camera or speaker: that part is not covered by the warranty on the screen repair if we did not replace or repair it. This keeps it clear what the warranty covers: the part and the work you paid Phone Repairs for.

Cleaning and maintenance

Cleaning and maintenance work comes without a warranty, unless the repair invoice explicitly states otherwise.

When does the warranty start?

The warranty period starts on the date the repaired product is:

• handed over to the customer; or
• shipped to the customer by Phone Repairs.

The repair invoice is the basis for the repair carried out and the warranty that applies.

A problem after a repair?

Does the part we replaced not work as it should within the warranty period? Get in touch with Phone Repairs Den Bosch. We examine the device and assess whether the problem relates to the original repair and falls within the warranty terms. If the defect is covered by our warranty, we make sure it is properly resolved.
